I know the economy is not the best right now, believe me, I know. My husband and I are trying to get him through college, and raise our three little ones at the same time. My husband and I both work hard whether it is inside the home or out in the "real world"
One of the decisions we made was to sell our house and move in with my parents while we get him through college. Well as luck would have it I had a metal yard sign frame that someone had given us a while back, and my father is a professional artist and sign painter so the sign itself was free. It was a nice little sign.... a nice all metal sign.
The hobby of scraping or trashing has become very popular in my neighborhood. I have always thought it was a good thing. If someone could use and item, or save it from a landfill great! Unfortunately some people in our neighborhood seem to think that they can "salvage" anything that is left outside, not just on your curb.
I made a police report today, but I knew it wouldn't yield anything other than the report itself. Our house is only a few blocks from a recycling center, so I drove by there to see if I could spot our sign. Of course no one there knew what I was talking about. Oh well!
I am toying with the idea of having my dad make me a new sign ( this time out of plastic or paper). Do I want to just write FOR SALE on it this time, or a nice little note to the metal recycler? hmm? we will see. What would you right on the sign? Keep in mind there are kids in the neighborhood LOL!
