What an inspiration....I just got done reading an article on a philanthropist and published author named Bilaal Rajan. He has helped raise over five million dollars for charity. While that fact alone can be an inspiration, the truly amazing part is that Bilaal is only 12 years old!
Since the very young age of four, this young Canadian boy has felt compelled to do something to help children who were less fortunate than himself. His first fundraiser was selling clementines, which collected 350.00 for victims of an earthquake in India. Since then he has continued his efforts and has encouraged corporations to donate everything from food to medicine through UNICEF. Bilaal is now the Children's UNICEF Representative for Canada.

He says his current goal is to inspire 1 million young people to find their true potential and help affect positive change in the world. This incredible young man has written a book about his accomplishments and how others can follow in his footsteps, it is called “Making Change: Tips from an Underage Overachiever”. I have not read the book yet, but it is getting good reviews and sounds awesome.
If you want to help Bilaal in his efforts for children all over the world, you can buy his book, or by making a donation. Charity in all forms is a wonderful thing, but charity that benefits children always seem to be all the more special to me. I can not imagine accomplishing so much at such a young age, but Bilaal proves age does not matter when it comes to making big things happen. How much better would the world be if we would all follow his example?
