I happen to live in Ohio, the same state where "Joe the Plumber" is from. This guy has been thrust in the spot light now, whether he meant to be there or not.
I read a quote from him in our local paper this morning. Mr. Wurzelbacher said in an interview with Katie Couric "I've always wanted to one of these guys a question, and really corner them and get them to answer a question for once instead of tap dancing around it. And unfortunately I asked the question, but I still got a tap dance." He added, " He was almost as good as Sammy Davis Jr." ( I smell a SNL skit there)
That is kind of funny! I wish he would have gotten a better answer too, but at least he got to ask. I have been wanting to ask the candidates how they stand on the GI Bill. Joe's having the guts to ask may bring him more grief than he deserves. Now the media is trying to discredit this man, saying things like "well he is not a licensed plumber anyway". What the heck is that suppose to mean? Maybe he is working on getting his license? It really has nothing to do with the point he was trying to make. He said he was getting ready to BUY a company, I don't think he would have to be a licensed plumber just to own it, but I could be wrong. Ugh, the media drives me crazy.
