We Started Our Garden Inside

We decided to get serious this year about our garden and planted some starter tomato seeds.
We bought the little pots with the starter soil in them. We then followed the directions that said place 2 seeds in each container, water and wait for seed to come up. Then we were instructed to thin them by snipping the weakest plant in each little pot.

So we did all that and waited and oh my! In 4 days we have a ton of tomato plant starters. Surely when you do plantings like this you do not expect all to take root, well they did! What a bumper crop we will have this year.

The kids are very excited to watch the tomatoes grow. We planted some violas that same day as well and there is no sign of life on that side of the planter tray. I think maybe those seed were a little too old. This is a learning experience for all of us, and we have a lot more experimenting to do.

Happy gardening all.
