Are YOU in to Genealogy?

If you are a genealogy buff like I am you might want to check out this cool site called Find-a-Grave. This is a great site for finding the burial location of long lost relatives that you have been searching for.

The best thing about the site is that it mainly works through volunteer power. You can sign up for free to become a member or contributor as they call it, then you can help others find graves that are near you. You can still request that a member take a photo for you even if you do not have time to go and take pictures for others, but it is really a fun, interesting thing to do.

I myself do not have a bunch of time since I have three small kids, but I have managed to take about 8 photos for other people to date. Once you submit these photos to the site, then they become part of the site and make it better. I love volunteerism, and I love genealogy so this is right up my alley. If you do sign up and you have an AOL email address you may have to email the site owners to finish signing up. There is some sort of compatibility glitch with this site and AOL. I just went ahead and used another email address I had, but either way I am glad I signed up.
